Dr. Joseph Kim is a physician executive, digital entrepreneur, and technologist. He currently works in the continuing medical education (CME) industry and he is also active in the health information technology industry. He is a national speaker on topics related to continuing medical education (CME), mobile health (mHealth) technology, and social media in medicine. 

Dr. Kim is the President of Medical Communications Media, Inc. (MCM). Established in 1995, MCM develops certified continuing medical education (CME) activities in joint-sponsorship with accredited organizations. He is the President-Elect of the National Association of Medical Education Companies. Dr. Kim is an active member of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions and he chairs the Emerging Technologies Committee. 

As a digital entrepreneur, Dr. Kim founded NonClinicalJobs.com to provide resources for physicians interested in non-clinical careers. He also founded several websites that focus on health technology, smartphones, and mobile health: MedicineandTechnology.com, MedicalSmartphones.com, and MobileHealthComputing.com.  He has been a keynote speaker and a panelist at a number of recent conferences (see recent speaking engagements here). Dr. Kim is also a regular contributor for the Physician Executive Journal, the official journal of the American College of Physician Executives. 

As a social entrepreneur, Dr. Kim founded a series of websites and an online community for health care professionals with disabilities.  

Dr. Kim holds a bachelor of science in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a doctor of medicine from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine, and a master of public health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Public Health.
